On June 21st, 2020, two students from Franklin Regional High School and two students from Gateway High School in Pennsylvania founded the sixty-fourth branch for the Alliance of Youth Leaders in the United States (AYLUS): East Pittsburgh, PA.

Founders

Congratulations to (from left) Jason Chen, Jacob Davey, Prerit Yadav, and Dietrich Zeisloft of the East Pittsburgh Branch! Great job!

Description of the East Pittsburgh Branch

The East Pittsburgh Branch of Pennsylvania in AYLUS is committed to serving and improving the community. We encourage members to utilize whatever skill or talent they have within our branch in order to improve the world around us, and allow others to enjoy the community they reside in. For example, we strive to give back to our community with efforts devoted to our local Westmoreland County Food Bank, teach and tutor students via an online virtual meeting like Zoom, and other interesting and unique ideas that would contribute to our community. In addition, eventually, in person, we hope to better the environment by organizing community cleanup projects in local parks or school grounds. These are just some ideas to consider as of the beginning of the branch, however, as we grow, there is no doubt that our members will bring more ideas to the table. We are proud to serve the Pittsburgh East community and by displaying leadership and community service, we hope to make a memorable impact. If you are a resident of a town/city/county East of Pittsburgh, PA, and are interested in joining our branch, please do not hesitate to contact us for any questions or concerns! Scroll down to “Branch Leadership” to find the emails you can reach out to.
