AYLUS East Pittsburgh Branch Makes Cards for Mother’s Day

On Saturday, May 8th, 5 volunteers (initially) met up at Jacob Davey’s house to make Mother’s Day Cards for the mothers of a local church. With 24 cards to make, we followed a Youtube video tutorial, gathered the needed materials, and got to work. Unfortunately, 2 members (Kiyara Sawyers & Dietrich Zeisloft) had to leave early due to other activities that were in their schedule. Regrettably, we weren’t able to get pictures with the other 2 volunteers before they left. Nonetheless, this endeavor was finished and we are ecstatic to have helped spread joy and happiness in the community through investment in service and creativity.

On Sunday, May 9th (Mother’s Day), Jason Chen was responsible for delivering the cards. Due to some scheduling conflicts with church service, Jason was only able to get pictures with several of the first mothers that arrived, and not all the mothers.

Kiyara Sawyers: 1 hour

Dietrich Zeisloft: 1 hour

Christa Davey: 5 hours

Jacob Davey: 5 hours

Jason Chen: 6 hours

Below are some pictures of the members working, the finished Products, and the presentation to a couple mothers:
