Columbus Branch Prepared Artwork Design to Encourage People on April 8, 2020

On 04/08/2020, AYLUS Columbus Volunteers prepared artwork design to encourage people during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Andrea Yu, Angelica-Lili Susanto, Brenna Li, Catherine Harman, Dustin He, Emma Yu, June Ni, Katie Lu, Kevin Wang, Rachel Zhu, and Aidan Li of the AYLUS Columbus branch prepared encouraging words /drawings. In complying with the state’s social distancing and the stay-at-home order, the kids creatively made their own design separately, sent around the image of their designs electronically, and one of them put the designs together to generate a master sheet of assortment of bright and warm artwork designs. With this, the kids wanted to encourage everyone to stay in high spirits and stay positive during the COVID-19 pandemic. AYLUS Columbus attached this art design with a facemask donation to the Senior Star retirement center, where they used to play music for seniors regularly prior to the pandemic. The artwork also accompanied with the group’s homemade face shield donations to a local grocery store. The artwork was also used by the Columbus Chinese Community (CCC) in their donations: for example, it was donated together with a total of over 200 cloth masks to a local behavioral healthcare hospital and another local retirement facility. The volunteers hope the artwork can help bring smile and brighten someone’s day with some positivity. Indeed, people who received the above-mentioned donations also commented how they were touched by the artwork design.
