Riverside County AYLUS Members Create Homeless Bags on March 5th, 2023 (2nd)

On March 5th, 2023, several RCA members got together to work on their homeless bag project.
The members had purchased items to fill goodie bags for people in need. They also asked neighbors and friends for donations. The bags were filled with items such as toothpaste, toothbrushes, shavers, hand sanitizer, socks, hygiene pads, hand warmer, tea bags, instant coffee, scarfs, water and various energy bars and snacks. Before they finalized the bags, each member wrote and created cheerful cards to be added to each bag.

The bags were then dropped off and handed to a local outreach station as well as homeless people in need. People have fallen on tough times due to the inflation and the incredible high rent prices in the area. In addition, the state of California has dealt with an incredible amount of precipitation for weeks that have soaked the homeless population relentlessly. The group wanted to help these people in need with their bags.
