Riverside County AYLUS returns to the Jacob’s House for another Food Drive on May 15th, 2022

It’s been close to a year that RCA had done a first food drive for the Jacob’s House. On May 15th, our group returned for another donation drive. The Jacob’s House is a non-profit that was founded after a local family had experienced the terrible heartache of losing their son in a car crash. Having experienced the support of the Ronald McDonald house before, when their daughter had almost been killed in a similar tragedy, the father felt compelled that the city needed a similar house and founded the Jacob’s house in memory of his son. The local hospitals refer patient’s families who are experiencing traumatic events to the house where they can get to stay for free, have meals and even access to a little chapel.

The house is a sanctuary and a blessing to so many families and RCA will continue to support their effort in helping people and families who are in distress and who need comfort and solace in troubled times. The snacks, food and hand sanitizer that were donated will help those families who stay at the house.

Volunteers: Sophie Chung, Jacob Navarro, Nicholas Navarro, Evan Chang, Kyan Chang  (1.5 hrs each)
