Riverside County AYLUS Hosts a Coat and Blanket Drive for the Homeless on November 19, 2021 (1st)

For about 2 weeks Riverside County AYLUS collected donations such as blankets and coats for the homeless.
An online flyer was designed by Sophie Chung and distributed among the members to make the community aware of our event. During this time, blankets and coats were gathered. The donations will help the needy in the community as we are approaching the winter season. One organization that the group worked with, Project Touch, specifically emphasized the need for blankets. Similar to The Salvation Army, Project Touch funds some of their projects through the sale of donated items at their Thrift Store. RSA members went out of their way to make this donation happen. Gently used blankets and coats, as well as brand new ones, were bought and then dropped off at Project Touch and Streets of Hope on November 19th, 2021.
Both organizations have helped the homeless in our community by providing shelter and assistance to the needy. Riverside County AYLUS will continue to support them through organized drives and other kinds of donations.
