AYLUS Dix Hills works with the Half Hollow Hills Library to organize, clean up, and help children fulfill their magical dreams. The AYLUS Dix Hills Branch primarily focused on helping parents and children create Mickey Mouse themed Sleeping Beauty headbands.

Because the Sleeping Beauty’s, Aurora, 50th anniversary is today, the Half Hollow Hills Community Library organized 30 families to come to celebrate the milestone, relive some nostalgia, and have fun. They’ve organized Aurora herself to come, the movie to play in the background, a stuffed animal creation craft, scavenger hunt, Mickey Mouse themed Sleeping Beauty headbands, and a color changing snack station. Both the parents and children are big fans of the Disney character, some to the extent of dressing up as a princess for the event, so the AYLUS Dix Hills Branch were able to volunteer to help the magic.

Volunteers: Ru Xue Jiang (3 hours), Sara Kong (2 hours and 30 minutes), Rohma Masood (2 hours and 30 minutes), and Ming Chen (2 hours and 30 minutes).
