AYLUS Basking Ridge weekly iPAD club to Fellowship village on 3/14/26

Today at Fellowship Village, one customer came with issues on attaching files to emails and spam cluttering her computer. Another customer wanted general support on switching apps, streaming things on her phone, and anything else. The volunteer gave instructions and let her practice on the things she asked and instructed her to write down a list of issues if she had any for next week. One other customer asked for help editing zoom invites, and the volunteer taught him how to send manual invites and general document usage methods but there weren’t functions to directly edit it supported by zoom other than on business plans. There were also issues on how to set up a Zoom meeting, and making sure incoming calls don’t go to voicemail. Finally, some volunteers helped with forwarding a word document, and how to delete call recordings.

Although on the service level, it seems as though our volunteers only help with technology, this is not the case. By helping seniors with technology, they begin to feel a deeper connection with the modern age of technology. Our volunteers also talked and gained a deeper sense of what it means to be part of a community through volunteering.
