AYLUS Garden City volunteers continued their Senior Technology Help program at the Garden City Senior Center on October 21, 2026, 3:00-4:30pm. During the session, student volunteers Luis, Daniel and Michael worked directly with senior residents to help them navigate their phones and laptops, answer technology-related questions, and better understand the features and functions of their devices.
Through one-on-one assistance, students provided patient, individualized guidance based on each senior’s questions and needs. They helped make everyday technology more accessible, enabling seniors to become more comfortable using their devices and navigating common digital tasks.
The recurring program provides an opportunity for students to apply their technology knowledge in a meaningful community setting. By sharing their skills and assisting older adults, AYLUS Garden City volunteers help bridge the technology gap between generations while developing communication, problem-solving, and service skills.
AYLUS Garden City appreciates the Garden City Senior Center for its continued partnership and for providing students with opportunities to support local seniors through technology assistance.
