AYLUS Rancho Cucamonga Branch Volunteers at TOYOTA ARENA on 02/18/2024
On February 18, 2024, AYLUS RC BRANCH had 6 volunteers participate in the 9th fundraising event for the Building Bright Futures children’s program. Additionally, we welcomed 6 more members, with four of them experiencing this event for the first time. This ongoing series of events takes place at our local TOYOTA ARENA, coinciding with the Empire Stryker’s Ball Toss event season. Each time there’s a game, we set up soccer and ball toss games at the entrance to raise funds for children in need, with all proceeds dedicated to promoting their academic and personal success.
We divided into two groups for the day’s activities. One group managed the soccer game, handling ticket sales and ball retrieval. Since many families attend the games with their children, the presence of several female members today allowed for better promotion and engagement with the audience. Consequently, the game was a huge hit. The other group handled the ball toss activity, where we meticulously packed bags of balls with varying quantities and prices ($5, $10, $15). Both activities garnered significant attention, and before we knew it, four hours had passed.
This time, our efforts resulted in sales totaling over $700. It’s truly exhilarating to see such impressive sales figures achieved through our hard work. Knowing that our abilities can make a tangible difference in the lives of children in need fills us with pride and motivates us to continue our efforts with even greater enthusiasm.
In total, we had 12 volunteers contributing their time and energy to this meaningful cause. Their dedication and commitment to serving the community and supporting the growth of underprivileged children are commendable. We eagerly anticipate future opportunities to make a positive impact and empower more children to thrive academically and personally.
