Irvine Branch Creates and Delivers Encouragement and Cheerful Cards to Seniors on July 13, 2020

Over the last week, members of the Irvine branch of AYLUS worked on, prepared, and finished creating letters of encouragement for seniors at the local senior center in Irvine. Members of the project helped create almost 200 cards to deliver to the seniors.

This activity not only allowed students to get creative and display their artistic skills, but it also let us express our gratitude and appreciation to seniors, letting them know how brave and strong they are amid this pandemic. Our cards are designed to cheer them up and make them aware of how awesome they are.

After we received the cards whilst following safety and social distancing guidelines, we compiled and reviewed them, put stickers on the back of each envelope, and finally delivered them to the senior center.
