On October 7th, 2016, members of the Fairfax Branch volunteered at Pimmit Hills Senior Center for the traditional Chinese double ninth holiday, which is a holiday dedicated for seniors. We organized a variety of performances including dancing, singing, and piano playing. Additionally, a voting stand was set up to help some of the seniors to fill out voting registration and absence ballet forms. We also coordinated with the senior center to organize a surprise birthday event. For this occasion, roses were passed out to everyone. We also helped serve pizza, fruits, and cake. We provided volunteer service and entertainment for the seniors.
