On 20 April 2024, members of AYLUS Bellaire Branch volunteered along with several other groups to help with the Evelyn Park Earth Day Event. The volunteers served for 2 shifts, the first one is from 10:00am-2:00pm, the second is 2:00pm-6:00pm, 4 hours each.
For the first shift, the volunteers mainly served to help set up the booths and transport the supplies. The volunteers also helped at various booths, such as washing things and giving popcorns.
For the second shift, the volunteers also helped at the booths. After the event ended early than expected due to potential rain, the volunteers helped to clean up the park, bringing the supplies back to the owners’ house, collecting the tables and clean up rubbish. The volunteering ended at 6:00pm.
