Syosset AYLUS volunteer helps fundraise money towards the Asian community to help gain representation on 04/26/24

On 4/26/24, Syosset AYLUS volunteers helped fundraise money towards the Asian community to help gain representation. Students played a big role in helping to set up tables and the general area of the event. The gathering was held in Flushing, New York where students all around Long Island came to help fundraise for the Asian community. From students of Stuyvensent and Brooklyn Tech, every individual was welcome.

During this time, Syosset AYLUS members help set up tables, stands, machines, and technology that were needed. To fundraise, cotton candy and jewelry were sold. In addition, attendees had the opportunity to support by entering a raffle. Volunteers learned how to work with one another and gained a sense of their own community and culture. Parents and other volunteers also put together a meal that could be shared. Towards the end of the event audience members could enjoy live music from a violin performer, as well as a  group of students who came to dance. Together, hundreds of dollars were raised towards the support of our community.
