This year, AYLUS organized and hosted its first ever Summer Talent Workshops! This was a free class/workshop in which student AYLUS organizers created, planned, and taught their own workshop! We created registration surveys, flyers, and even a website dedicated to this huge event.
Among the workshops, Penny Pang and Kai Huang organized and led the Chess Workshop. We had total 12 kids in our workshop hosted at Eden Praire Library on 8/6.
Through out the class we had learn that accident can happen but working through as a team is the most important. When we started play there was a boy who’s started crying because he think he’s going to lose and was brave to say that his partner did not play the right way. Gladly our volunteers handle that really well there was a couple comforting the boy and the rest watch the class. At last he stopped crying and had a smile again!
Participants: Penny Pang(5hrs), Kai Huang(4hrs), Zachary Li (3hrs), Shivam Walia(2hrs) Nyel Uffa (1hr) Shayan Farhan(1hr)
