Reduce, reuse and recycle – are three approaches, and the most environmentally preferred. Reducing, reusing and recycling waste helps save landfill space by keeping useful materials out. The city of Allen held annual 2023 Great American Clean up event from 7:30AM to 12:00AM on April 22nd, 2023. This convenient event allowed Allen solid waste utility customers one-stop disposal of accepted items for recycling and donations.
One of our team member was able to register and participate the event. Hundreds of bicycles, thousands of shoes and clothes, many working flat screen TVs, lots of pets supply and usable household items were donated by the residents of Allen. Salvation Army had three fully loaded trucks with donation from this event. We are so proud of our participation to keep Allen beautiful.
