On December 4, 2022, Murrieta AYLUS members Cathy Liu, Jessica Lu, and Hsin-Chen (Julie) Lu helped out with The Little Garden of Hope project. When they arrived, the members first checked whether the seeds they’d planned the week before had sprouted. There was much excitement when they saw that there were sprouts for the carrots. Each member started busying themselves with a task; some started working on new beds, and others started planting new seeds in the ready beds. With the darkening sky, the members decided that it was time to clean up and go on to their next activity. One bed had been fully cleared, and three more were in progress. The members put their tools back and locked up for the day, satisfied with the work they’ve done.
