AYLUS Syosset Volunteers At The LI Music Festival 5/17/25

On Saturday, May 17th, Syosset and Roslyn AYLUS came together to volunteer at the Long Island Music Festival. This was an opportunity dedicated to talented performers including musicians and dancers that have been working diligently to share their efforts. From ballroom dancers to classical musicians, everyone worked together to produce an impressive show.

Volunteers arrived at 4PM to help organize the dress rehearsal. During this time, performers started getting ready by dressing up in their costumes and putting on traditional makeup. In addition, other groups warmed up their instruments and ran through some of their music. Volunteers helped locate all the groups, identify which rooms they were in, and guided them to their designated location during the dress rehearsal. Overall, students helped give directions to all, whether it was a performer or a guest.

When it was just in time for the show, volunteers were responsible for handling the tickets. Many guests lined up to purchase them, while others already bought them online and made special reservations. Two volunteers stood at the door to check in the tickets and tear off the end to mark them as checked in. At the end of the night, volunteers wrapped up the music festival.
