As part of the Year-End Give Back Initiative by AYLUS Auburn on December 18th, the AYLUS Auburn Branch collected 76 lbs. of food from homes and the local Asian Supermarket (3750 Pepperell Pkwy, Opelika, AL 36801) and donated it to the Food Bank of East Alabama (355 Industry Dr, Auburn, AL 36832) on December 21st. Our members also volunteered at the food bank from 1pm to 3pm. We cleaned and sorted several large containers of beverages and canned food. We appreciate the volunteer opportunity provided the Food Bank of East Alabama. It was a joyful experience to contribute to the Auburn community during the Christmas and New Year holiday season.
This activity took the volunteers 3 hours, including 1 hour for collecting food for donation and 2 hours for volunteering at the food bank.
Our members who participated in this activity are Annie Bao (3 hours), Will Bao (3 hours), and Victoria Choo (3 hours).
