On November 23, 2023, 4 members of the AYLUS San Clemente branch helped to volunteer at the 7th Annual Turkey Trot on The Ranch in Rancho Mission Viejo. Our members first headed over to the Guest House in Sendero to receive their volunteer vests and work packets, then they headed over to the Sendero Field via bus to help with the medal distribution and time recording. This year, there were over 1,500 runners participating and there were over 2,000 medals to unpack and distribute! Once the runners started to make their way to the end of the trot, the members started to distribute the medals to each and every one of the runners and record the top 3 runners’ times. Once the trot was over, the members also helped to take down the various sponsor banners from the fences surrounding the trot boundaries. At the end, each of our members got a medal for their hard work as well! The members were proud to start off their Thanksgiving day by helping their community!
The members who participated in this event were:
Elena Hsieh (5 hours), Laura Liu (5 hours), Edward Leigh (5 hours), and King Oung (5 hours)
