On the first Friday of the month, September 1st, 2023, the Phoenix Branch went to Feed My Starving Children to pack food from 7:00-9:00 PM (2 hours). During the event, the members of the branch packed ingredients such as rice, soy, vegetables, and vitamins into plastic bags for children in other parts of the world. The volunteers all had specific jobs in the process, such as scooping, bagging, weighing or sealing. Additionally, all members wore gloves and hairnets throughout the entire session to ensure that the food packed would not be contaminated.
