On April 14, 2024, we, the Jericho AYLUS Branch, engaged in a creative endeavor by painting birds for an upcoming summer camp activity at the Theodore Roosevelt Sanctuary and Audubon Center. Our members showcased their artistic talents and enthusiasm for environmental education by meticulously painting a variety of bird species. These included a following of 15 bird species: Black capped chickadee, Tufted titmouse, White breasted nuthatch, Downy Woodpecker, Wood Thrush, American Goldfinch, Ruby throated Hummingbird, Screech Owl, Ruby crowned kinglet, Carolina wren, Baltimore oriole, Scarlet tanager, Yellow rumped warbler, Cedar Waxwing, and Black throated blue warbler.
