On Sunday, September 10: The volunteers began with helping the residents stretch and dance, doing light exercise together. Then, they did a big ball toss with everyone, before pouring apple juice and water for everyone. Some of the juices had to be thickened, and the volunteers helped some of the residents drink. Then, the cups were cleared away, and they passed out the daily chronicle. After reading through the chronicle, the residents were taken outside to enjoy the fresh air. While at the start the day was cloudy, the clouds cleared quickly after and the residents were able to enjoy a bright sunlight together. A few went on walks, admiring the flowers and plants of the courtyard. Then, the volunteers transported all the residents to lunch.

On September 10th, 2023, Murrieta AYLUS members went to help at their local senior center. When members arrived, they headed to the ice cream parlor to help out. The library was occupied with another person doing live entertainment so members waited in the parlor. When they left, members went to the library and began setting up. They started by playing song requests by seniors, like Clair de Lune, Gymnopedie, and other songs. Some seniors sat next to the members while they played. Back at the ice cream parlor, members served seniors and talked to the seniors who came in to get ice cream. After getting ice cream, some seniors heard the piano playing from the library and dropped by. When members finished, they took their time conversing with the seniors and will come again next week.
