Columbus members Volunteered to pack and ship T shirt orders to 9 branches on July 5th, 2023

Columbus branch volunteers, Katie Lu, Estella Li, and Brenna Li packed and shipped 158 AYLUS T shirts to 9 branches on July 5th, 2023.

The three volunteers selected the right quantity and size combination for each of the branches based on their google order form, double-checked the quality of the T shirts, and packed (and triple checking) them in USPS priority flat rate boxes (medium or large), prepared address labels, and sealed the packages with tapes. In total, they packed 158 T shirts to 9 different AYLUS branches locations, in 4 different adult sizes, using USPS flat-rate priority box. Before July 5th, volunteer Brenna Li, summarized the order list based on the google forms, ordered the shipping boxes and labels from the postal office, assembled and taped the flat boxes into ready-to-use boxes. After the three volunteers finished packing the T shirts, Brenna Li used additional tape to secure the boxes, especially the medium-sized ones they managed to pack 20 T shirts in to save the shipping costs for other branches. She then went to the USPS with Dakun, AYLF board of director, and had the boxes shipped to the 9 branches.

Volunteer hour:

Estella Li: 2 hours

Katie Lu: 2.5 hours

Brenna Li: 5 hours
