Edmond Aylus Science Workshop 7/1/23

Edmond Aylus members organized a science workshop this past Saturday, 7/1, catered towards young children to raise their interest in STEM fields. So far, fourteen have registered so far.

This time, the event was organized and led by Jacob Meng, who combined with the rest of the team, spent 3 hours on 6/30 planning and gathering materials. They decided to host a competitive egg drop, sorting the children into small teams where they would work together to prevent their eggs from cracking on impact by using materials such as straws, rubber bands, popsicle sticks, paper, cardboard and bubble wrap.

Overall, the 7/1 workshop was a large success, lasting from 6:30 P.M. to 8 P.M. for a total of 1 hour and 30 minutes. The children were excited to make new friends and learn about physics and gravity.
