AYLUS Main Line Hosts a Community Book Fair 6-4-2023

Reported By: Emily Zou

On June 4th, AYLUS Main Line hosted its first Book Fair at Wilson Farm Park. They collected more than 300 books from the book drive in May and marked ~150 of them to be sold on the fair.

The goal for the book fair was to raise fund for the weather-resistant bookshelf to store the free library’s books in. The fair was split into two shifts: one beginning from 3:00-4:30 P.M. and another from 4:30 to 6:00 P.M. Set-up began at 2:00 P.M. and involved transferring ten boxes of books, tables, chairs, lemonade, etc. to the park and hanging up posters. Both shifts involved advertising the fair to park visitors and tallying up the sales. The most popular sales included AP and SAT Prep books.
