Murrieta AYLUS Collects Bottles and Cans from a Local Neighborhood & Hosts a Recycling Event to Help Rescued Animals (8th) (4/03/23)

Reported by Jessica Lu

On April 03 2023, Murrieta Member went to their local neighborhood to collect bottles and cans. It had been a while since the last time members had gone to collect due to the rain season, but after visiting the animal shelter and seeing all those animals, members were more determined than ever to raise as much money as possible to help those critters! Members went to their usual houses to ask for recyclables and collected almost a full bag of recyclables!  Member then headed to the CRV Recycling center to meet other two members to recycle their recyclables. Members also brought their own recyclables to recycle along with the ones they just collected. Members got 3 buckets for aluminum cans, glass, and plastic bottles. They quickly separated the recyclables into their own places. Unfortunately, just as members finished separating the recyclables, the person on shift was on his lunch break so members patiently waited until the shift was over. Members earned a total of $18.75 from their visit and hope to host another recycling event soon!
