On Thursday August 20th, Aylus high school volunteers gathered from 6:00 to 7:00PM at Great Neck Station Library to tutor and assist younger students with their studies. During this session, Brian Zhang helped a 4th grader with math work and fractions. Meanwhile, Junlin Yu helped a student with spelling the days of the week and memorizing times tables; Ivy Li helped as well. Olivia Kang helped answer questions on algebra, systems of equations, and area questions. Summer Lu helped a student with PEMDAS, as well as exponents and perfect squares in math. In conclusion, the tutoring session was efficient and benefitted many students with their studies.
