AYLUS Syosset Volunteers Help Cultivate Native Plants at the Long Island Native Plant Initiative (LINPI) on 8/22/26

On August 22nd, 2026, members of the Syosset AYLUS organization returned to volunteer with LINPI (Long Island Native Plant Initiative), lending their support to the day’s conservation efforts across Long Island. Volunteers took on labeling and stickering duties, carefully tagging pots to keep the nursery’s tracking system accurate and organized. The group also cleared weeds along the fence line, restoring a clean and tidy appearance to the nursery grounds. Rounding out the day, volunteers pitched in on moving crates, helping keep the space efficient and well-organized for the tasks ahead. Through their continued effort, the team helped strengthen LINPI’s mission and contribute meaningfully to the protection of Long Island’s native plants.
