For the last two weeks of March (3/17-3/31), AYLUS Twin Cities hosted a food drive, in which many members participated. Each volunteer did varying hours of work and was responsible for collecting and donating food. Some people contacted organizations such as gyms to set up bins for people to drop off donations while others contacted local businesses such as bakeries to set up donations for leftover food.
Volunteers also went doorknocking to ask for food donations. This was a fun and flexible way to give back to the community and make a difference in people’s lives as part of the whole MN state Food Share efforts!
Participants: Tony Liu (2 hours), Jeffrey Chen (2.5 hours), Claire Cao (1 hour), Curtis Ying (2 hours), Kai Huang (2 hours)
