Aylus Greater Triangle March 4,2023 Launches Open Sky Book Club to Help New Immigrants Read Aloud, Overcome Barriers to Integration into American Society”(6)

AYLUS volunteers are helping new immigrants integrate into American society and promote English communication through activities such as loud reading and world history. Building on this foundation, AYLUS Greater Triangle has launched the “Open Sky Book Club” program to promote youth literacy and community involvement through reading. The project not only helps new immigrant children improve their English reading and language skills but also creates an online platform for English cultural exchange among Chinese youth. Due to a lack of confidence and practice, new immigrants often struggle to speak English out loud. However, this event provides an excellent platform for improving their language fluency and allowing them to express their opinions more confidently. The “Story of the World” event was initiated by Sky Tianyi Han and organized by Sky Tianyi Han and Taige Shi. The event aimed to connect Chinese youth interested in English communication and culture and encourage Triangle’s youth to love reading. This initiative represents an important step towards promoting youth literacy and cultural exchange in the Triangle region.
