Riverside County AYLUS Keeps Working on Creating Blankets for Animal Shelters During the Month of January, 2023

In the past, RCA members have run food drives for different local animal shelters. This time several of our members decided to help the animals by making fleece blankets to help keep these animals warm during the cold winter months. Many of the RCA members own pets and seeing these animals suffer has made the team rethink their team effort in how to best help these animals. The blankets provide not only comfort but also fun through their tassels. On January 28th some of the members got together to finish the remaining blankets and to also heat seal them. Sophie Chung donated all of the handmade blankets to Animal Friends of the Valley, a local animal shelter in Riverside County alongside with pet food and snacks. These items were purchased with the proceeds that she had raised through the craft fair she had participated in last year.
