Volunteer participants spent three hours collecting litter from the lakeshore and water, including plastic bottles, paper and cigarette butts. They also use special tools to remove debris from the lake bed to ensure cleanliness and overall health of the lake.
The event collected dozens of bags full of rubbish, including a lot of plastic waste. Volunteers emphasized that these garbage not only damage the lake’s ecosystem, but also threaten the life and health of wild animals. They urge everyone to reduce the use of plastic and protect the environment and wildlife.
The event was planned to raise environmental awareness in the community in response to the call for International Earth Day. They hope that through this event, more people will pay attention to environmental protection and take action.
