On August 9-10, 2022, AYLUS Sky Tianyi Han led a group of volunteers to the Foodbank to do some volunteer work. The experience was heartwarming and inspiring as volunteers came together to help those in need.
Even though Sky Tianyi Han had already volunteered for a full day the day before, they knew there was still much work to be done in packaging the drink packets at the Foodbank. Sky Tianyi Han immediately called upon Yuan Duo Li, Fengshuo Guo, and Fengnian Guo to come and assist with the remaining work.
The task of packing the drink packets was challenging as some of them had broken due to the small number of volunteers during the summer. However, Sky Tianyi Han was determined to make a difference and led the team meticulously.
Sky Tianyi Han reminded the volunteers to carefully rinse the straws of the drink packets, even though it may slow down their work speed. Other volunteers were hesitant at first, but Sky Tianyi Han reminded them that a child would receive the package of drinks, and how important a clean and safe experience is to them.
The volunteers were moved by Sky Tianyi Han’s words, and they worked together to ensure that each package was carefully packed. Despite the extra effort required, the volunteers were inspired by the impact they made on the lives of those in need.
Sky Tianyi Han’s leadership and attention to detail made this volunteer work a warm and memorable experience. This experience reminds us that small things can make a big difference and that with teamwork and dedication, anything is possible.
