Chapel Hill Branch Donates Handmade Crafts to Kits to Heart on Feb 27, 2022

Each year, more than 1.6 million people in the USA are diagnosed with cancer. This month, AYLUS Chapel Hill Branch partnered with KTH to help make cancer survivors’ journeys a little easier.

KTH’s mission is “To bring smiles and solidarity to those affected by cancer, one kit at a time.” We contributed to this mission by making origamis and handmade journals that might become part of a kit. By the 28th of February, a total of 170 origamis and 20 journals were crafted. We hope to continue to serve and impact our community through little gestures like these.

The volunteers who participated in this event were:

Nicholas Wang (1 hour), Carolyn Shi (4 hours), Vivian Zhang (2 hours), Kevin Chen (5 hours), Luna Chen (5 hours), Eric Chen (1 hour), Alice Chen (1 hour), Ethan Ding (1 hour) and Kathryne Hong (2 hours).
