During the week of Veteran’s day, the Chapel Hill branch designed, wrote, and sent letters of gratitude to military veterans through America’s Adopt a Soldier, a nationwide program that strives to positively impact the lives of active, reserve, guard, retired, homeless, and wounded service members by providing aid and care packages. Our members created more than 30 red, white, and blue cards, each decorated with their own unique, star-spangled designs. Within these cards were handwritten words of encouragement and thanks for the sacrifices our veterans have made, are making, and will continue to make for the safety of our country.
