Chapel Hill Branch Makes Thank You Cards for Veterans Day from Nov 1 to Nov 6, 2021

During the week of Veteran’s day, the Chapel Hill branch designed, wrote, and sent letters of gratitude to military veterans through America’s Adopt a Soldier, a nationwide program that strives to positively impact the lives of active, reserve, guard, retired, homeless, and wounded service members by providing aid and care packages. Our members created more than 30 red, white, and blue cards, each decorated with their own unique, star-spangled designs. Within these cards were handwritten words of encouragement and thanks for the sacrifices our veterans have made, are making, and will continue to make for the safety of our country. Happy Veteran’s Day!

The volunteers that participated in this event were: Alice Cheng (6 hours), Kevin Chen (4 hours and 30 minutes), Luna Chen (4 hours and 30 minutes), Ethan Li (1 hour and 15 minutes), Nathan Li (1 hour and 15 minutes), Nicholas Wang (3 hours), Jack Xu (1 hour and 15 minutes), Carolyn Shi (6 hours)
