AYLUS Syosset Set Up Composting Station 10 to Help the Environment (10/24/21, #10)

On 10/24/21, AYLUS Syosset assembled and filled a composter for a local house in their community.

The composter(which is entirely made out of recycled plastics) was constructed by members of AYLUS Syosset. After the construction, various organic materials such as tomato leaves, vegetables, paper shreds, and cardboard were put into the composter layer by layer.

This composter will help in our fight against food waste by ensuring that any excess organic material that isn’t eaten will be turned into nutrient rich soil (given enough time). We wish to make a difference in our community step by step, no matter how small those steps are.

Members that participated include Alan Huang(1.5 hours), Leo Cheng(1.5 hours), Ryan Leung(2 hours), Jasmine Chen(1.5 hours), Tommy Tang(1.5 hours), and Sophie Liu(1.5 hours).
