Greater Temecula Valley AYLUS Participates in a Fundraising GALA for Our Local Animal Shelter in October 2021

On October 9th, 2021, Greater Temecula Valley AYLUS (GTVA) leaders Ally Negulescu(3 hrs), Adora Xiao(3 hrs), Julie Lu(3 hrs), and Jessica Lu(3 hrs) contributed as special guest performers at the “Cars for Canines and Kitties” fundraising gala!

“I wish I had my driver’s permit” was the lines of Ally Negulescu when she fixated her sight on the rows of sparkling sports cars. The entire auditorium was sharp and clean, with many fun looking booths and neatly aligned tables. Members of the GTVA, one by one, started arriving at the gala, as they made their way over to the stage to test the piano. The sparkling sound dashed its way through the lines of cars as it echoed through the entire building. Everyone was overjoyed and started to warm up, only to be interrupted with a super cool photo opportunity where they all came together for a group picture in front of another shiny sports car!

Members were then escorted to the backstage, where volunteers and refreshments were prepared. They had the opportunity to meet some really amazing people, including volunteers, event coordinators, and even new addition prospect for the GTVA family! They even heavily enjoyed a various amount of sweet treats…

After waiting for about an hour, AYLUS members were called to the stage to perform their program for the night. Sound and lighting adjustments were made, and everyone was introduced on stage to begin their performance. First, the program began with Humoresque by Shchedrin performed by Ally Negulescu, followed up by Duetto No.3 by Bach performed by Jessica Lu. Then, Adora Xiao played the Impromptu in Bb Major by Schubert with Julie Lu following up with Bach’s English Suite #2. Finally, the performance ended with Ally Negulescu playing Invitation to the Dance by Weber, and the entire crowd seemed to really enjoy it, getting ready to contribute to the Animal Friends of the Valley GALA Fundraising.

After the exciting performance, members got to meet the next performers of the show, the incredible canines of the fashion show! AYLUS members excitedly crowded around the fluffballs and took many pictures with them. After a great performance and exciting events, members once again received a great amount of positive feedback. We can’t wait for future events like these, to help raise money and awareness for the needy animals in our community. The goal of the event was to raise $100,000 and we are so happy that we could help. Go Go Go GTVA!
