Riverside County AYLUS Hosts Snack Drive for the Jacob’s House on June 18th and 19th, 2021 (15)

After RCA’s recent contact with the Jacob’s house, it quickly became clear that they were in dire need of snacks. Mrs. Krause, the volunteer coordinator, had explained that they had just run out of snacks. So RCA members quickly sprung into action and hosted a snack drive. An online flyer was created and requests were shared on social media. On June 18th and 19th, snacks were gathered and donated by RCA members and the community. The donations were then dropped off by the group. Mr. Martinez, the operations manager, who received them, was very thankful for them and explained how much these snacks made the difference to the families staying at the house. He also shared with the group other needs that the Jacob’s house has such as cleaning supplies. So the RCA branch decided on the spot to turn this into a mission to gather these much needed supplies during our next donation drive for them. The RCA branch is happy to make a difference in people’s lives and extending a helping hand to people within the community.
