Sugar Land Branch Sprouts Plants for City Landscaping

From December 26 to April 2, the Sugar Land Branch continued its project to assist with providing landscaping for the City of Sugar Land Parks and Recreation Department. Members grew mealy blue sage seeds, which eventually sprouted under their care. Because the plants that members grew had very particular growing conditions–constant sunlight, warm temperatures, and frequent watering–members had to work diligently every day to ensure that the mealy blue sage plants were growing properly. Participants moved the plants around periodically to ensure maximum sunlight exposure, watered them several times a day, and transferred them in and outdoors depending on the temperature (which fluctuated greatly with the Texas weather).

The participating members were Albon Wu, Yijia Jiang, Angela Wang, Tong Wang, Nicole Wu, Isabella Wu, Amy Liu, Runyan Zhou, Ethan Li, Andrew Lian, Daniel Trinh, Grace Trinh, Ray Tian, Fiona Qiao, Sherry Huang, and Shaopan Gao.
