Sugar Land Branch Maintains Park Garden #27

On February 20, the Sugar Land Branch continued maintaining the Sugar Land Memorial Park Butterfly Garden. Members collaborated with the Sugar Land Parks and Recreation Department to remove and store the tarp they had placed a week prior to protect the garden plants from freezing temperatures. They folded the tarp and stored it securely under the windmill of the garden. Additionally, members trimmed and removed dead branches from the garden’s plants. Although the tarp significantly helped these plants to survive the cold temperatures, several still had dead branches surrounding them. Members cleaned up the area to allow further plant growth in the spring.

The participating members were Justin Chang and Albon Wu.
