Irvine Branch Donates Goods to Officers at the Irvine Police Department on August 20, 2020

On August 20, 2020, the volunteers from the Irvine branch of AYLUS donated a great amount of snacks and delectables to hardworking police officers at the police department at the city civic center.

As the coronavirus pandemic changes everyday life in every part of the world, we decided to think globally and act locally. We realized that police officers are unsung heroes amidst this crisis, putting themselves on the line every single day and valiantly protecting the city. Their work is overseen by most, and yet we rely on them all the time to protect us. Therefore, we wanted to display our gratitude and thanks to officers at the Irvine Police Department for protecting our community when we need it the most.

This blazing afternoon, three volunteers traveled to the Irvine Civic Center and delivered packages of snacks as well as food as a simple reminder that officers’ hard work do not go unseen. It included hot coffee, jerky, energy bars, shortbread, and much more!
