Irvine Branch Hosts Its Sixth Summer Speech & Debate Class on July 19, 2020

The Irvine Branch of AYLUS hosted the sixth Speech and Debate class of its Summer Learning Experience on July 19, 2020! Through Zoom, passionate teachers taught inquisitive students ranging from grades first through sixth.

This course is built on encouraging students to gain better public speaking skills, teaching them the fundamentals of debate, and most importantly building self-confidence. Using breakout rooms to separate the grade levels, the students were split based on their preference of debate and delved deeper in that area. They played some Kahoots and practiced the passionate art of debating with one another on current issues. Currently, students are preparing and reviewing for their final debate 2 weeks from today.
