Irvine Branch Hosts Its Fourth Summer Speech & Debate Class on July 5, 2020

The Irvine Branch of AYLUS hosted the fourth Speech and Debate class of its Summer Learning Experience on July 5, 2020! Through Zoom, passionate teachers taught inquisitive students ranging from grades first through sixth.

This course is built on encouraging students to gain better public speaking skills, teaching them the fundamentals of debate, and most importantly building self-confidence. Using breakout rooms to separate the grade levels, the students were split based on their preference of debate and delved deeper in that area. They played some Kahoots and rehearsed the speeches that they had been working on for the past couple of weeks in a nice combination of speech and debate.
