On the early morning of August 31, 2019, AYLUS hosted their fourth annual garage sale. These garage sales have been increasingly known for their successes and enjoyable environment. Members showed up ecstatic and ready to help.
In the past weeks, the AYLUS community donated various items like clothing, toys, kitchenware and house decorations. Ultimately, the community helped contribute an abundance of items. Members had previously organized and sorted the items to prepare for them to be sold.
During the garage sale, volunteers helped display and arrange the products. In addition, members helped lead sales with the customers. Additionally, locals showed their support for the sale and sparked conversations with the volunteers. Many customers had come in previous years and said that they looked forward to this event annually because of the great cause that it supported.
Every year funds from the garage sales are donated for a local cause. This year funds raised were given towards the Dawson Tennis Team and Model United Nation’s club. AYLUS enjoys supporting other organizations such as these because of the help that it provides towards students and their education.
