Chapel Hill Branch Performed at Senior Living Center on November 23, 2019

Today’s senior volunteer activity was a success. Kevin started off playing his clarinet, wowing the seniors with his scales and melody that took place in the piece. Then Susanna played America The Beautiful on her Cello, while the rest of us sang along. Luna took their breath away with her piano piece. After that, Rebecca played her Chinese instrument while they stared in amazement as they watched her play. Soon after, Mark played a minor piano piece, enjoying the piano, many seniors kept the melody by tapping their foot. After that, we played some sound of music sing-along, one of the senior’s favorite musicals. Audrey played My favorite things as well as Do-ray-mi and So Long Farewell as everyone sang along. Sophia reminded them of the story of the musical, Sound Of Music. Right after, Audrey and Sussanna played Edelweiss together while everyone sings along. The hour ended with Sussanna ́s cello piece and Rebecca’s piece which left them with amazement. The seniors enjoyed themselves and we hope to be back to play for them again.
