On July 3rd, 2018, the AYLUS Pearland Branch worked alongside the Pearland Parks and Recreation and the Youth Action Council to prepare for and decorate the Pearland Stadium for the July 4th festivities on the following day. The volunteers arrived early in the morning and awaited their instructions at the stadium entrance. They were divided into groups and were designated areas to decorate. From banners to flags and bunting, the crowd of volunteers walked up and down the stands and throughout the field covering the stadium in those decorations. When the job was complete, the sun was high in the sky, the volunteers were exhausted, and the stadium was ready for the next day’s events.
