On June 22th, 2018, the AYLUS Pearland Branch worked alongside the City of Pearland to celebrate summer with Concerts in the Park from 7 to 9 p.m. at Southdown Park. Featuring a different genre of music each week, people of all ages enjoy the free concert.
The volunteers were split into groups and assigned a specific area of the park to attend to. Each group socialized with the people who visited the event and provided them with help. They were tasked to give surveys out to the visitors and hand out door prizes and coupons while the band played. The volunteers worked hard for almost two hours sweeping through their areas and providing smiles and help.
