On November 20th, the Pearland Branch volunteered at the Houston Food Bank.
As Thanksgiving Day gets closer, we look forward to sharing memories and food with family and friends around the dinner table. With all of these festivities, we sometimes forget that many people are not as fortunate as us.
Last year, AYLUS Pearland Branch decided to make a change by volunteering at the Houston Food Bank. This year, we continued this step by gathering 30 people ages 8 to 17 and going to the Houston Food Bank to help, sort, process, and pack food that would be distributed as meals for the food insecure. Together, we packaged over 550 boxes and 2,640 meals.
