On Saturday, August 20th, AYLUS Pearland hosted a voter registration drive at the Pearland Chinese School from 9:30am to 4:30pm. 24 high school volunteers worked in hourly shifts to provide service to potential voters.
After being trained, our members were able to help citizens register to vote, remind them about the upcoming election, and check if they had already registered before.
Through the process of training and registering citizens to vote, our members had a rewarding experience. Not only were they able to practice their public relations skills, they were also able to involve themselves more in the political community and be more knowledgeable on the upcoming election.
